What readers can expect

The Uncanny Field Guide uses original editorial wording, local illustrative photographs, and a source-first approach. It separates observations from interpretations and makes immediate safety more visible than dramatic explanations. We do not publish private case files or make claims about specific people, homes, photographs, or recordings.

Sources, correction, and privacy

Primary public safety, health, archive, government, and institutional sources are preferred. Pages carry a review date and link to a source note. If a material correction is needed, the editorial desk can revise the page and add a dated note. The site does not run a reader-upload system or a case-report database.

Use this guide wisely

These pages are general information. In a crisis or immediate danger, contact local emergency services. For a practical starting point, use the First-Check Index; for the publication’s approach, read the editorial policy.
